Terms and Conditions

•    Vouchers are valid one year from date of issue unless bought as part of a special promotion where offer conditions apply. 

•    Tour bookings are time specific. It is the clients’ responsibility to arrive on time (we recommend 15 minutes before the allocated time) on the correct date.

•    If you arrive too late to join your tour at your allocated time you may not be able to participate and all payments may be forfeited.

•    Tours are subject to cancellation at short notice if weather conditions are not suitable. See cancellation policy below.

•    A refund will only be issued if the tour cannot be rescheduled.

•    A refund will only be issued if the tour was booked and paid for directly with Cheshire Segway.

•    Bookings made using 3rd party and “Experience Days” voucher companies will be rescheduled subject to re-booking fee of £10.

•    Remember to dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day (remember sun hats and sunscreen in sunny weather!).

•    This experience is not suitable for pregnant women.

•    It is your responsibility to inform the staff of any disability or prior injuries before taking part.

•    You will be required to read and sign a statement of risk before participating on the day. This will be witnessed by a member of staff. Any false information could affect your safety and invalidate your insurance.

•    Secure footwear should be worn (trainers, light walking boots are ideal - no flip flops or high heels).

•    All riders are required to wear helmets which will be provided.

•    Riders must be at least 10 years old and weigh 45kg (7.1 stones).

•    A parent or legal guardian must sign a consent form for riders 10 to 16 years old and accompany them on the tour.

•    A maximum weight limit of 117kg (18.5 stone) applies.

•    Riders must be comfortable standing for the duration of the tour.

•    The rider should be able to shift their weight & be comfortable leaning slightly from side to side and be capable of stepping on and off the Segway PT when required without assistance.

•    Your gift voucher / experience voucher / 3rd party experience day vouchers must be presented on the day.

•    If you book though an experience day company and do not present your voucher upon arrival you will be required to pay the full price to be able to participate.

•    Tour voucher expiry dates are fixed. The expiry date is the date by which the tour must be taken, it is not a booking date. Bookings made using vouchers past their expiry date will be at a director’s discretion and subject to a £10.00 per person surcharge (maximum of 3 months from expiry date). 

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel a confirmed tour booking the following policy applies:

Cheshire Segway will refund booked experiences and vouchers bought directly from Cheshire Segway within 7 days of purchase minus a £10 administration fee. After 7 days no refund will be available.

•    Where gift vouchers have been bought from external providers and a booking has been made, no refunds will be given and voucher validity will be lost for any cancellations 

•    Should you need to re-schedule a booking you have already made more than 14 days before the event date, a £10 administration charge per booking will apply to move to another convenient date. If you need to re-schedule a booking within 14 days of the event date then a £25 re-booking fee will apply. 

•    For participants failing to turn up to an event you will not be able to reschedule bookings, no refunds will be given and voucher validity will be lost. 

Personal Belongings

It is the rider/ participant’s responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of their personal belongings following their experience. Cheshire Segway has no liability to compensate or offer replacements for items lost or stolen at one of our experiences.


The nature of some of the activities that we promote means that they can be dangerous. Prior to ordering or participating in any experience you should be aware of the risks involved. Cheshire Segway can provide further information if you are in any doubt about any experience. We hold current and valid public liability insurance, and this is always available to view on site if you wish to see it please ask a member of the team.

Health & Safety

We ask you to leave plenty of time to get to the venue. All of the experiences we offer require registration, safety briefing and certain amount of preparation, it is essential that the participant attends registration otherwise they will not be able to participate. No alcohol or drugs can be consumed before any of the experiences we offer. Our team reserve the right to refuse an activity to persons suspected to be under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs. All experiences require the wearing of safety equipment, this is mandatory and there are no exceptions. We employ professional instructors who reserve the right to end an experience or offer alternative tuition if they believe the participant may endanger themselves or other members of the public. In the interest of providing a safe and enjoyable experience we ask participants to follow the instructions given by our team throughout the event. Anyone who refuses to follow these instructions will be asked to leave the event without refund. 

Important Notice

Please note that there are risks involved in taking part in Segway experiences.  
Riding a Segway can be dangerous and can result in serious injury or death.
Whilst we have taken precautions to minimise risk of injury, by taking part in this ride you acknowledge that there are risks involved.


Riders will not be allowed to ride a Segway if:-

•     They are under 145cm tall (4’ 8”). 
•     They weigh less than 45kg (7.08 stone)
•     Their weight exceeds 120kg (19 stone).
•     They are pregnant
•     They are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•     They have a disability such as epilepsy or heart disease

In addition to the above riders/participants will not be allowed onto the circuit unless they are able to demonstrate they can control the machine to the standards set out in the training area.
